Our HIRE price is for a complete dressing service:

Our price includes chair cover, organza sash, delivery, set-up and collection after your event. There are no hidden charges as our price is fully inclusive.
All chair covers are professionally laundered, hand pressed and steamed before each event. Our team will deliver and set up the chair covers and sashes at the agreed time, ensuring that everything looks perfect for your event. We will then return to collect the covers and sashes for you, at a time agreed with the venue.
We cover all areas in south/south-east London or north Kent. We will travel further afield if required but this may be subject to a delivery/collection charge. We require a non refundable deposit of £50 to confirm your date and the balance of your booking is then payable 4 weeks prior to your event. A security deposit of £50 is also required when you pay your final balance to cover any loss or damage. The £50 security deposit will be refunded within 7 days after the event.

Our DIY HIRE price is for the nationwide delivery of covers and/or sashes to your address via insured courier [£45.00 via DHL, payable by customer]. This price is for a return, door-to-door service.
If you/your venue are within our local operating area [please enquire] we can deliver personally for a £10 delivery charge. In this instance, you or a representative will be required to re-deliver the hire items to me the day following your event:

Discounts will be given for bulk orders. We carry a very large sale stock, but at peak times we may have to order in extra covers for those who wish to buy. In this case, delivery may take 4-6 weeks. If we have the covers you require in stock [highly likely] then delivery can be organised within 2 days, subject to courier availability. We use DHL, who provide a very reliable, insured 1 – 2 day service for £24.95. Please enquire about special orders and prices, i.e. covers in velvet, satin, organza & brocade [all colours] are all available to order.
Sashes are available to BUY at 85p per organza sash [108” x 8”] or £1 each for polyester satin sashes [108” x 6.3”]. A sash is an essential addition to a chair cover. A single plain white chair cover can be given many different looks by adding a simple low-cost organza sash. Our sashes have overlocked edges and angled ends to give a neat finish.
Organza sashes are available from a range of 22 colours and polyester satin sashes come in 29 colourways. Co-ordinating TABLE RUNNERS are available to order.
PAYMENT: PAYPAL, bank transfer and cheques and cash are accepted. Goods will not be despatched until funds have cleared.
DELIVERY: We endeavour to despatch all orders within 48 hours of cleared payment subject to courier availability. If orders are urgent please do not hesitate to contact us. All orders will be sent via DHL at a cost of £24.95 for a very reliable 1-2 day service.

Chair Cover Information
Loose Fit Covers
Our top quality chair covers are made from superior 100% POLYESTER COTTON TWILL, with a thickness of 170g/sq. metre [compared to Polyester Oxford, which has a thickness of 155g/sq. metre].
The twill weave provides a more luxurious look and is also more opaque, providing better coverage on dark coloured chairs. These chair covers are manufactured to a very high standard and are available in white or ivory. You will find identical covers to these for sale online at prices of £8 – £9 per piece.

The large, square top chair covers are popular with hire companies as they will fit a wide range of chairs; sashes and bows can also be used to 'take up slack'. A Square Back Chair Cover will fit on either a square or round back chair of similar size, but obviously for a perfect fit, a round top chair would be dressed with a round top cover.
These covers incorporate separate panels for the back of the chair and the chair seat. This provides a much more fitted look than a single piece construction and allows for quicker fitting of the covers. Using a single panel for the back and seat means a less sculpted look and a risk of tearing.
They are box pleated at both rear legs to give a very elegant finish. Having no pleats in the back skirt not only looks less elegant but also makes fitting less flexible and the cover more prone to damage.
Machine washable. Easy to iron with good crease resistance.
We have various sizes of chair covers which will fit over regular marquee and standard banqueting chairs commonly found in hotels, banqueting halls and restaurants in the UK. We have covers to fit both round and square topped chairs. If we haven’t worked with a particular venue in the past, we will contact them directly just to make sure our chair covers will fit over their banqueting chairs. Leave it to us to liaise with your venue and fit your chair covers worry free. We check the sizes from our extensive range of covers to ensure the best fit.
Spandex Covers
Our Close Fit Covers are 100% spandex. They are highly elastic yet strong and sleek, offering the perfect fit for most banqueting or restaurant chairs. They will stretch to fit virtually any shape chair without arms – round or square top, it doesn’t matter which [not recommended for small outdoor plastic stacking chairs]. For a superb fit, heavy-duty canvas-like pockets are sewn onto the inside of the chair covers for chair legs to slide into.

FAQs
1) I don't know the exact number of chair covers that I will require as numbers may change - can this be changed if required?
Yes we allow changes up to one month prior to your event. We understand that numbers can change and we do not mind changing the invoice as many times as is necessary.
2) When would you deliver and collect?
We come and dress your chairs on the morning of the event, and come and collect them after your event [usually the following day].
3) Are we required to pay a deposit?
When making your booking there is a £50.00 booking deposit payable. WE DO NOT ADD DATES INTO THE DIARY UNTIL A BOOKING DEPOSIT IS RECEIVED. This is deducted from your total balance, which is payable no less than 4 weeks before your wedding. At this time, a further £50 refundable deposit is payable against any damages or loss to the hire items.
4) If there a minimum order?
Yes, a minimum booking of 50 chair covers is required.
5) Do we have to wash the linen after use?
No you do not. We supply the linen to you washed, hand pressed and ready to use and collect the linen used.
6) I’m not sure which chair covers/sashes I require – do you send out samples?
Yes we do. We ask you to describe the chairs to us and we will then send you a sample plus a sash if you require. We charge £10.00 for this service but will also enclose a stamped addressed envelope back to us after you have tried the chair cover on the chairs at your venue. Once we send out a sample we hold the booking for ten days. If the sample we send does not fit we can send you another sample free of charge. An additional charge of £10.00 will be made for any chair covers NOT RETURNED. You should ensure that you have a 'Certificate of Posting '(which will cover you if the return envelope does not reach us) from the Post Office when returning the chair cover, as we will charge for non return.
7) What happens if any of your chair covers or sashes get damaged or lost, are we charged for this?
Yes you are, but this tends to be rare. In such cases the total cost for losses and damaged items will be deducted from the £50 refundable deposit. A charge of £8.00 per chair cover/£2.00 per sash/£25.00 per tablecloth or table skirt/£15.00 per garland will apply. If the losses or damages work out to be more than £50 you will not be refunded and you will be required to pay the remaining outstanding balance. If less, we will refund you the remaining balance.
Linen may be returned soiled as we realise that spillages of food and drinks will occur and this will not affect your deposit. However, any permanent stains or damages to our linen such as ink, crayon, pulls in the fabric and burns etc will attract a replacement charge for each damaged item. Table linen/chair covers which have been dragged onto the floor, used to wipe up spills or are damaged beyond repair will be charged for at full replacement costs.
8) When are we required to pay the invoice?
You are required to pay the deposit on booking and the full amount of the invoice at least ONE MONTH prior to the event. We will send you a reminder for this. If payment is not received before this time, we will assume our services are no longer required and will automatically cancel the order, sending an Email to the customer. A cancellation charge of 50% of the estimated amount will be invoiced. Booking deposits are not returned if an order is cancelled due to late or non payment or if the customer cancels the order for whatever reason.
9) How do we pay?
You have three ways to pay. You can send a cheque, pay through PAYPAL or cash.
10) Cancellations
Customers can cancel their orders anytime up to 6 weeks before the event with no penalty. This must be made in writing and we must acknowledge receipt of this. Booking deposits are not refundable. Customers who cancel their orders less than 6 weeks before the event will be charged a 50% cancellation fee of the total order value.
General Conditions
- We shall make every effort to supply you with the goods requested, but we reserve the right to supply you with similar goods.
- All goods for hire remain our property. Prices quoted are for one days hire only apart from day of delivery and collection.
- We will not be liable for any delays caused by circumstances beyond our control.
Liability
- The Starlight Balloon Co. shall not be responsible for injury or damage to persons or property howsoever sustained, arising from any goods under hire. We shall be under no liability in respect of any defect arising from wilful damage, abnormal usage conditions, failure to follow our instruction (whether oral or in writing), misuse or alteration or repair of the linen without our approval.
- Except in the case of death or personal injury caused by our negligence, we shall not be liable to you by reason of any representation or any implied warranty, condition or other term, or any duty at common law or under these terms and conditions, for any special, indirect or consequential damage.
- The risk in the goods will pass to you immediately on delivery of the goods to you or the recipient. It is your responsibility to ensure that the goods are fully covered by insurance with regard to theft, damage and public liability risks.
- Any failure by us to enforce any or all of these conditions shall not amount to or be interpreted as a waiver of any of our rights.
